Do or Die. Stanley Cup 2011: Game 6

As predicted by sports betting website. The series turned out to a very close one. As the series continues, The Vancouver Canucks led the series 3-2 against the Boston Bruins. After winning game 5 1-0, the Canucks are now just a game away from their first ever Stanley Cup Championship trophy.
Roberto Luongo won Game 5 with such flawless fashion after his two sub-par performances in Boston. With some early work that gave him confidence. He easily denied every shot the Boston attempted. He showed his tremendous bounce back ability for the second time in these playoffs. Never showing any weakness and was not intimidated by the Boston’s pressure. People saw a razor sharp Luongo on that game conquering a media demon once again. He made 31 saves for his second 1-0 shutout of the series.
The second hero of that game was their forward Maxim Lampierre who made a goal 4:35 in the third quarter. He alone scored the lone goal for the Canucks that crushed the defense of the Boston’s goalie Tim Thomas.
The infamous power play of the Boston Bruins has failed them once again. They couldn’t take advantage of the chances they had on that game. A good portion of their scoring chances started with a slap shot form a stationatry defenseman from the blueline, and the one when Raffi Torres tripped Greg Campbell 1:39 into the game. They did a very good job of closing down passing lanes, restricting the chances of cross-slot pass. But it was not enough for them to win that game. They should have done what Bieksa did on Maxim Lampierre’s goal. Softer wrist shot with an angle change on the shot.

Now that the momentum is back in Vancouver, the pressure is now on the Bruins. Game 6 will be a do or die for Boston Bruins. To win, they will have to aggressively check the thinning defense corp. oft the Canucks that may lead to turn overs that would determine the game. The Game will be held in Boston where they dominated the visiting Canucks. Sports betting hockey fans are eager to see the outcome of this series. Will the Bruins win and take it to Game 7 or will the Canucks end the journey for them.

Stanley Cup 2011: Boston Temperature rises, the heat is on the Vancouver

Sports betting hockey fans were surprise of how ugly the outcome of the Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals 2011, as the Boston Bruins beats the Vancouver Canucks 8-1. (The second time Canucks gave up 8 point in this post season.)

Game three was overall an ugly game. Nathan Norton felt the ugliness of that game, as he took a nasty hit from Aaron Rome who left his feet over five minutes into the first period. Where he earned a five minute interference major and game misconduct for his collision against Horton who appeared to be unconscious after hitting his head on the ice and was taken to the Massachusetts Hospital by the training staff and medics of the Bruins. Sports critics say that it would be a surprise if Aaron Rome would not be suspended for one game and walks away with it. The opening of the frame was a scoreless. But the Bruins got the puck 11 seconds into the second period and scored 4-0.

Later on the match, things got chippy, As Maxim Lapierre gave Mark Recchi and Milan Lucic of biting taunts. Henrick Sedin also had a taste of Tim Thomas. In the third period, the Bruins added 4 more goals. Fueling them going into game 4. The series is now 2-1.

The Canucks defeat on third game didn’t change bookmaker’s online mind in favoring them to win the series. But on Game 4, the temperature in Boston is said to reach nearly 90 degrees. Meaning, the heat is now really on the Vancouver Canucks.

Federer Silences Monfils, To Face Djokovic

The Swiss tennis maestro has shows dramatic improvements from his results upon last year's Roland Garros semis, making him really a good bet for tennis sports betting in this year's Paris tournament. But for the first time, for the longest time (since 2003 to be more specific), the former world number 1 and now world number 3 Roger Federer is not one of the top two seed favorites to win the title. Now he is set to play Novak Djokovic after muting the French Open 2011 hometown favorite and world number 9 Gael Monfils in an impressive 6-4, 6-3, 7-6 win. The 16 time Grand Slam title holder appears to be fit and ready to give a fighting chance for his spot in the semis of this year's tournament in Paris.

Gael Monfils showed a good fighting chance for his countrymen and bookmaker online fans, but the Federer is just too much, and Monfils can't keep the game for more than three sets.

Federer was ousted in quarterfinals last year as Robin Soderling beat him in a four set match in Paris. Monfils on the other hand, who has lost 3 of his last 4 outings in French Open, is nowehre near Soderling's performance last year on clay.

Federer is set to face the Serbian Novak Djokovic tomorrow. Unlike Federer, Djokovic will be fresher and more rejuvenated for their tomorrow's game, as he was given a free pass in the quarterfinals as the ranked 49 in the world Italian withdraw from the tournament due to an injured thigh.

The semis atmosphere is no longer new to Nole, as he has been there before. However, the world number 2 has never made it to the finals at the clay courts of Paris. Djokovic may have knocked Federer out in the last two Grand Slam events they have met, and many online sports betting patronizers have been calling for Nole to eliminate the Swiss once more.

I couldn't wait for tomorrows match-up, as Nadal will also face Soderling on the other court in Paris. Truly a blockbuster day for tennis fans tomorrow.
