UNLV Basketball Forward Chace Stanback Busted For DUI

Different summer and different legal woe facing the UNLV Men’s Basketball team, and another problem for UNLV Rebels college basketball online betting fans. The UCLA transfer and now UNLV's top returning player Chace Stanback, who leads all returning players in scoring and rebounding, was pulled over for over speeding near his off-campus residence last Friday, and later arrested on suspicion of Driving Under the Influence charges.

This incident looks like just another problem for the UNLV Men's basketball team, as last summer Tre'von Willis faced charges after allegedly taking a woman's mobile phone so she could not call for help after she was assaulted and choked.

The attention of college sports book betting fans, UNLV fans and media is now on UNLV head coach Dave Rice, and his disciplinary actions he might bequeath to their forward Chace Stanback.
It was in 2008 when a local Las Vegas talent and UNLV then-sophomore guard Marcus Lawrence was ditched from the team by former team coach Lon Kruger after he was arrested from DUI charges. His case was a little more severe though, as he wrecked his car far from the campus and ran away from the scene.

While the penalty for Stanback will not be as severe as Lawrence, the Rebel faithful are now left to put their heads together on what will happen to their best returning players. The penalty handed down to Willis faced a lot of scrutiny when he was suspended for only 4 games, but joined the team's 2 exhibition games.

Now, the same fans are waiting to see what coach Rice will do to his returning player. While I expect Stanback to be suspended for a minimum of 2 games and maybe a maximum of 5.

The UNLV Rebels the whole summer to work through this dilemma, and anticipate his August 11th court date. I'm hoping this is just a minor bump on the road for the Rebels, as I know they will make a good run this season.
